Drink Driving
“Drink Driving” or DUI (Driving Under the Influence) is now technically described as the “Presence of a prescribed concentration of alcohol in a person’s breath or blood.”
The seriousness (as far as potential penalty) of the matter depends on:
- The “reading” ie the actual concentration of alcohol;
- The licence the driver held (if one was held);
- Whether there has been a previous similar offence.

A Drink Driving Lawyer may be able to assist and advise upon such matters as overcoming the “automatic” suspension of a licence. Similarly a DUI Lawyer may be able to advise upon the possibility of actually keeping a licence despite being found guilty of a drink driving offence.
A defence may be available to a charge of drink driving. This should be discussed with an experienced drink driving lawyer.
